Merry Christmas (a few days late)

Sorry this is a few days late, I have been having TOO MUCH FUN watching Grant enjoy his new goods! Christmas this year was a blast! We started the holiday at our house hosting the annual Christmas Eve gathering for my dad's side of the family. The kids had a great time, mostly displayed by Grant's cousin Hayden loving every minute of it! There were some great gifts that Grant has been enjoying for the past few days. Christmas morning brought gifts from Santa and family time for Mike, Grant and I. We then packed up, headed to Nana and Papa's to celebrate with them + Uncle Jay. Grant opened his presents with lots of authority! He even tried to be excited about his "jammies" that Nana and Papa got him. We enjoyed brunch with everyone, we almost lost Grant face first into his pate of pancakes, so it was naptime for him! Good dinner, lots of famly and good times! My mom and I got up at 5:30 the next day after to do our annual shopping trip! Hope everyone has a great new year!!! Enjoy the food and football, its almost time to give it all up!!!!

Trains!!!

Today, Grant+Nana+Papa+I went to Union Station to see the Holiday Train that was in town for the weekend. It was so worth the wait in line for 30 minutes in the 20 degree weather to see Grant's face light up as we got to board the train. He was completely amazed by it. Mr. and Mrs. Claus were waiting in the first car to greet all the kids. The next few cars were occupied by amazing train replicas that were running on their train tracks throughout the cars. It was absolutely love at first sight for Grant (plus we got to enjoy how much fun he was having!) After we left the Holiday Train, it was off to Union Station where more model trains were set up for the weekend. Grant could not get enough! We went to have lunch at Crown Center and THOUGHT about Crayola Land until we saw the line. We had a bite to eat and then off to head home. It was so much fun, I wish you all could have enjoyed this perfect Sunday! It's almost time!!! 9 more days....

Santa Claus is comin to town....

So, Jolly Old St nick stopped by my friend Courtney's house this morning to visit with 22 kids. It was completely overwhelming for mom, but Grant was beside himself! He was okay on the way over, telling me he was going to see Santa, Santa says ho ho ho....but once in sight-no thanks! He was okay from afar, like standing up next to Santa to take a present or to give him high five, but not so okay to sit on his lap. We got a few funny photos for memories sake. We then headed home with 5 of my girlfriends and their kids for a gift exchange for the kiddos! Grant is VERY patient and particular about unwrapping his gifts, it must have taken him at least 5 minutes to get all of the paper off of his gift. We had a good time, and he's now down for the count, which gives mommy some time to update this and put some new pics on! Love and miss everyone....oh yeah! GO MIZZOU!!!

WOW....that was fast

Yikes, an entire month has already gone by!?! Thanksgiving was a success, as I hosted it at our home for the first time. With a small amount of guideance from my mom, it went really well. Mike was unable to be home, as he was onthe road...AGAIN...but we made it through with my family, grandpa, aunt and uncle. Grant LOVES turkey...in fact, he asked for it again tonight as I was tucking him in! The day after brought ridiculous shopping at 500 at Toys R Us, which was really good for nothing but laughing at the morons who take things ENTIRELY too seriously! Then it was off to a few more stores for some great bargains! Grant slept in with my dad so he did not have to brave the weather or the chaos! We then went tree hunting with Mike and our neighbors. It has become ritual to tree hunt with the Dales, so we had at it again this year. Grant thought it was so fun to run around and hide in the trees from mom and dad....not so fun for us when it's 12 degrees outside. Needless to say, we found the perfect tree and it is decorated and ready for gifts!! Grant is also obsessed with Christmas lights...he feels the need to scream Christmas Lights at the top of his lungs every time we see them-he has to make sure I see them too! Visits to Santa and much more to come! Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday! M+S+G

BOO!

Grant's 2nd Halloween was a HUGE success! He started off the day with a Halloween party at daycare which did not go so smoothly. He did stop screaming long enough to run up to the witch to grab his goody bag though! On to stop #2-the bank. We went to visit Nana at the bank and to trick or treat there since it wasn't dark enough to go outside yet. This was so much fun as everyone had goodies at their desks. We then met Papa up at Great-Grandma Bea's to stop in with some Halloween cheer. After a quick pit stop at Nana/Papa's house, we headed home to do some real trick-or-treating. My best friend, Michele, and her daughter, Alivia, came over to do the honors with Grant. He caught on very quick....3 knocks, trick or treat, grab the candy, thank you and off to the next house. He really did enjoy every minute of it!!! We got a few pics of our spider in action! Happy Halloween!

Fall Events

Lets see....where do I begin?? we have had a rather busy past couple of weeks. Grant has been to 2 different pumpkin patches. Once with his friend Brooklyn and once with his Nana and Uncle Jay. They have been very fun to say the least as he loves to be outside. We also had a hayride yesterday at Peyton's (a little girl from daycare) grandparents house. All the kiddos from daycare were there. Mike was out of town but my parents got to go with us. They roasted hot dogs over a big bon fire, went on a hayride, fed goats at the neighbors house. It was a blast. We then got home and had our 4th annual pumpkin carving party at the neighbors house. Grant did some coloring while mommy was carving away. He did not think highly of the yucky mess that is inside of the pumpkins, but got a rather big kick out them after they were carved.

He has a halloween party at Noma's on Wednesday then we are off for some trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Hope everyone enjoys the scary night!!! I know we will!!!

Lions and tigers and bears, OH MY....

We had an EXTREMELY busy day today! It started with our final swim lesson class at 900, which we "passed" with flying colors. Imagine passing something because you can blow bubbles!! Then it was home to motor around out back in the 85 degree weather with Daddy! Naps and then off to Grant's first Halloween party. We were greeted at the door by my best friend's daughter, who Grant LOVES....but not today, because she is dressed at a cat which scared Grant to death. We got him dressed up in his spider costume, which he kept on for all of 15 minutes, because it felt like summer outside. Once he got used to everyone being dressed it up, it was better. No pictures though, Grant has decided over the past few months that if a camera is pointed at him, lightning is going to shoot out of it! He did color pumpkins, play with balloons and get lots of good treats!! We are off to the zoo tomorrow to enjoy what I believe will be the last nice day of the year.

Swimming, swimming, just keep swimming

This morning Mike was able to attend swim lessons with Grant for the first time (thanks to his wonderful schedule!). This allowed me to take some pictures of the boys in the pool. Grant was MUCH more at ease in the water with Mike there, no tears-all laughing and splashing. His swim lessons last 30 minutes. His class has about 9 kids aging from 6 months to 4 years. We are learning to float on our backs, blow bubbles in the water, go under water and ice cream scoop (what the instructor calls dog paddling). We have 2 more sessions left and then I have signed Grant up for another session at a different facility starting in November. It will run for 5 weeks and we go twice a week. Should be fun. Mike and I went to the Northwest Pitt State game today for a few hours of tailgating. Grant stayed with Nana and Papa while we enjoyed some beverages with friends we only get to see every so often! Tomorrow we are heading to the pumpkin patch so more to come tomorrow! Love you!

Take me out to the ballgame

Apologies, we have been M.I.A. again! It sometimes seems like I can't grab even 5 minutes to sit down and update this thing!! Any-who, in the past few weeks, we have started swim lessons, been to the petting/feeding zoo, attended Grant's first Royals game and a few others to not be named! Swim lessons have been an adventure to say the least-1st week, loved it, 2nd week, not so much, 3rd week, back to loving it!! They are jumping off the sides of the pool, learning to float, blowing bubbles and Grant even likes going under the water (as long as MOM is there when he pops back up!!) The petting zoo experience was a blast. Grant is very cautious around new things, which I guess is a good thing. The large adult billy goats were not nearly as friendly to approach as the itsy bitsy baby goats. Grant fed them from as far away as possible, but laughed the whole time! It's a really great place and best of all-it's FREE! My parents, Mike and I took Grant to his first Royals game last night. This was quite the experience. We got there very early to try and catch some b.p., but ended up missing the Royals. Grant danced on the dug out and poointed out that there was someone pitching the ball and that someone was hitting the ball. This may have been the best part of the night for Grant. We did get David DeJesus to sign a ball for Grant, which he commented that Grant was super cute (after Grant called David a fish??) We then took Grant up to teh miniature putt putt course that they have at Kauffman. As you know, Grant loves golf....not at the K!!! He did not want to give the ball back, he felt he needed 30 balls, etc. We left crying only to have a Royals attendant go and grab Grant a stuffed koala with a Royals hat, it was very sweet. Then it was back to our seats for ball park food. Grant dined on a pretzel with cheese and a hot dog. He last about 3 innings on Nana's lap cheering for the Royals who were up 3-2 when we left. To end the night cap, Grant was approached by Slugger, the Royals mascot, outside of Kauffman. He was going to stop to give Grant a high five and take a picture, but my son was too busy having a fit trying to run from the oversized lion that the picture never happened. It was over stimulation to say the least!!! But, it was memorable!!!! Looking forward to the pumpkin patch in the coming weeks, so I will be more loyal to blogging, I promise!

Love you all!!

Labor Day Weekend

Boy was this a busy weekend!! Mike was home ALL WEEKEND!!! This might have been a first in the Hollister Household!!! We had a BBQ on Saturday with our neighbors and a few friends. Grant had a blast as a couple of his "buddies" were over to play all night, so he was pooped after all of the excitement!! His friend Alivia came and visited Saturday morning and it took all of his might to share his 4 wheeler with her!! Sunday brought some errands in the morning as a family and dinner with my mom, dad and brother so that they could see our new furniture that was delivered on Saturday! (told you it was busy) Grant said his first FULL sentence which consisted of " I want a bite, Jay"...we all laughed and enjoyed it! Today we had another guest as Sydney came over to play and eat lunch with Grant. Then this afternoon, while Grant was napping, Nana and I snuck out to grab some pre-school supplies. Grant starts the pre-school program tomorrow at daycare, so he will go armed with paper, glue sticks, crayons, markers and a brand new Buzz Lightyear backpack that he LOVES!! More to follow, loving the short work week!!! And the weather in KC looks as if it might be back to normal soon!!!

Nana....YELLOW CARD

So, tonight was the 2nd session of Grant's "soccer" night. He did much better than last week, as there are no bumps, bruises or black eyes!! It was pretty much the same as last week: red light green light, stomping on bubbles, kicking over cone towers, kicking the soccer balls around, etc. He loves the interaction with the other kids....UNTIL HE SEES HIS NANA! It caused complete chaos tonight, to the point that my mom had to come down onto the soccer field to get Grant refocused on the task at hand. I love the program, we are doing it with our good friends Stacy, Chad and Avery, so it makes it even more fun. From now on....Grandparents upstairs and to the left, where my kid can't see you watching!!!! Nice weather is on its way, so more fun pictures to follow!

T.G.I.M.

Thank for this weekend is finally over...we have been running around all weekend with various family events! First, my very first second cousin (not to confuse anyone) got married on Saturday. Then my Aunt Judy turned 60 this weekend followed by second cousin Stella turning 1. There was a double celebration for both which was great! Stella lives in California so we don't get to see her often enough. This could be the first time in my life that I am glad for Monday!!!
Last week we started Little Kickers which is an indoor soccer program for 18-24 month olds. I flew solo the first time, as Daddy was on the train so I do not have pictures. I do however have a classic Grant story. Nana and Papa were there to watch Grant in his first sporting event of chasin bubbles and knocking over cone towers. This is at an indoor facility so one side is all glass. Grant got excited when he saw Nana and Papa and attempted to run over to greet them only to...SMACK!!! crash face first into the glass wall, the poor little guy thought he could run right through it....so we have our first sports injury, an enormous knot and bruise, smack dab in the middle of the forehead!! Other than that, it was quite successful! Pictures of this weeks events to follow.....

Good Night!

Wore out

So, Mike decided that Grant needed a "big kid" 4 wheeler. Next thing I know, our munchkin is manuevering through the fields back behind our house on his own. Surprisingly, he's really good at it. Mike has cut him a path and Grant can twist and turn (all while laughing uncontrollably) through it all like he's been doing this for years. The other day, Mike caught this shot of our big kid after a long day's worth of riding and laughing. We thought we should share it!!

Growing up.....FAST

Grant had his 18 month (I know!!) visit yesterday. He weighed in at 26.8 lbs and 32.75 inches tall. These marks put him in the 60th percentile. Not bad for a kid who can out eat his nana. Now, for some giggles!! His head measured at 50 cm, YIKES! I gave birth to this kid. That is in the 97th percentile. Although, looking at his parents, we too have nice sized melons, so the kid never had a chance! He is due for a trim from his cousin Denise today so that he can look extra adorable for his 18 month pictures that we are having taken tomorrow! So those will be posted later! Then I am off to Texas for a week for Nationals so Grant will be shacking up with Daddy and then Nana/Papa when Daddy is rail roadin it!! This will be the first time I have been away from him for more than a night in 18 months. I am nervous!!! I know he will make it, but will I???? Miss and love everyone....just wanted to let you know all know how our little guy is growing up so fast! If you blink, you miss it!!

Little Swimmers

Grant hates the little swimmers swim pants. So much that he would rather just play with the watering hose completely naked. So, since he's only 17 months, we let him get away with it. He thinks its great, he waters our plants and flowers out front, lets the dogs get a drink when they are thirsty and sometimes, if we are lucky, we get drenched when we aren't looking. Anyways, we got a couple of shots of him playing in the water, since its been 95+ here for a couple of days. Here's looking at you kid...........

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to everyone. We had our annual gathering at the house last night to kick off the celebration. Lots of friends, family and food--3 important components! Grant absolutely loved the fireworks. Mike and I were unsure of how he might react, but he just smiled, pointed and said boom over and over. It made for a very fun and entertaining evening. This afternoon, Grant and I joined my parents, grandma Bea and Liz and Craze for another small gathering. Papa, Nana, Grant and I shot off some more fireworks after the brief rain shower that attempted to spoil everything. We won, we got it in!! Grant is pooped and is knocked out in bed, but it sounds like a war zone outside, so we'll how long that lasts! Miss and love everyone--enjoy the holiday!!

Paradise Park

Ahh, its raining and gross outside, so I thought I would take 5 minutes to update everyone. Again, my apologies for the recent slacking! Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL! My best friend Michele and I took the kiddos to Paradise Park. Nana and Papa Moss got to come along for some laughs as well. Grant and Alivia had a great time. There is tons for them to do there. We spent a good hour in the ball room with slides and balls and all kinds of chaos. We then ventured on to a building block room which Grant had about zero interest in. They have a water room (Grant's 2nd favorite), Alivia and Grant got to pretend fish outside in the outdoor area and they also shopped in the grocery store. Overall, we had a fabulous time. We got home and Grant crashed! On the way home, I stopped off and Nana got him a sprinkler for the yard. HE DID NOT LOVE IT. He stood in the middle of the sprinkler fro 5 minutes crying, but never attempted to move out of the way of the water....good thing he's cute!!! Miss everyone!!!

YIKES!!!

OMG, have I really been gone for a month? Apologies for not keeping everyone up to date on our lives. Mike is back on the engineer board, so HOPEFULLY he will be home a little more often. Softball is in full swing (reasons for me being a bad blogger!!) so I am now running around in circles non stop. We just got back from a full weekend in STL for a tourney. Grant made the trip with me and had a great time at the softball park, there were swings and slides so we were all good. He is very into being outside, so it all works out well! He has all 16 teeth now (waiting for the two year molars) and is running everywhere. He says about 25 words, but everything always seems to come back to ball. Anything round is a ball. He loves to make all the animal noises-the mooing cow noise is the family favorite right now. I promise to get pics posted this week.....if all goes well!!

Welcome May

We had a great weekend. Mike's parents came in for a nice visit with us and to catch up with Grant. We had great weather while they were here, so we were able to spend almost 4 entire days outside playing with Grant. Mike and Jerry went turkey hunting on Monday, but had no luck. Jerry planted some beautiful flowers for Mike and I, so now it looks very springy around our house. Barb and Grant got in quality golf time and we found out that Grant LOVES his Gram's meatballs!!!! They were here for almost 5 days-they flew out this morning to visit with Mike's brother and wife and her son Tyler before heading back out East on Sunday! We loved having them here and are very glad that they were able to spend time with Grant!!! His new favorite hobby is golfing. If you want to call it that. He more or less swings the clubs around and if he is lucky enough to strike a ball...woo-hoo!!!!

Miss you guys already!!

Crash -n- burn

Grant has been able to spend some time with Daddy this past week. Only a couple of days, but I am sure in Grant time that feels like weeks. Mike got home yesterday from work and then took today off, so the boys got to spend some good quality time together! They played outside this morning, since it was beautiful (70 degrees and sunny). Grant got to play with the new bubble lawn mower which he loves to push around and ride his 4 wheeler. He played so hard that it resulted in a nap lasting nearly 4 hours!!!! I know Erin, I can hear you now!!! This afternoon we played in the back yard with our landscaping rocks, which are his new found love. He picks them up and puts them on the deck and then carefully throws them back to their home!! He took a spill on the driveway last night and is sporting some nice scrathes on his nose and upper lip...if you look closely you can see the scratches! He didn't seem to mind falling face first on the steps all that much. We got about 2 seconds of tears and then on to the next fall!!

Thanks...

Grant just wanted to thank Nana, Papa and Uncle Jay for helping him find all the eggs this afternoon!!! We had a blast!!

Happy Easter

We have had a busy weekend!! Yesterday we had the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt for my girlfriends and their kiddos! It was a great success. There were 7 munchkins in all (we were missing Sydney and Avery as they were out of town with family!) Grant and his friends were busy hunting eggs (indoors due to the 30 degree weather we are getting) and eating cupcakes. We are trying to make sure we do something like this for Easter, Halloween and Christmas! Its a good excuse to get us girls together and let the kids play!! We got up this morning to find that the Easter Bunny (who Grant is very much afraid of) left him a couple of fun new toys. He got a lawnmower that blows bubbles to play with while he and Daddy do yard work and a new chair to sit still in...HAHAHA!!! we are off to my parents house this afternoon to hunt more eggs over there and hang out with the family!! This Easter is so much more entertaining than last year!!
Hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Updates....

Nothing too important to update on! Just wanted to get a few pictures of Grant up for everyone to see. He is adjusting to wearing hats, he does better when Daddy is around with a hat on (anything to be like Dad)!! Easter is just a few days away, so Noma (our sitter) is having the Easter Bunny come to her house on Thursday for an Easter party for the kids. Then we are going to ATTEMPT to dye eggs with Nana. Friday I am off work, so we will get to spend the day together and then Saturday I am having a bunch of my girlfriends and all of their kids over for an Easter Egg Hunt at the Hollister house! Should be a blast, thinking we will have 7 kids total, entertaining to say the least. We have been practicing picking up eggs and putting them in the basket, we have to win you know!!! Lots more pictures soon! Miss everyone! Especially the Gehle's, so sorry we missed you guys!! Kiss Stella for me!

Feeding the ducks (or Grant)

This past weekend was beautiful so my parents and I decided to take the little man to feed the ducks at Lake Jacomo as my brother and I had done so many times with my grandparents...a fun new tradition for Grant and Nana & Papa Moss. I thought he might be a little scared of the big birds, but that would turn out to be the understatement of the year! When we got there, a lone goose sat in the water. I thought this might be a good way to ease Grant into the new event of feeding bread to the local wild life. It took all of 5 seconds for Grant to decide this was the worst idea my dad had ever had....he was screaming bloody murder!! No sooner than we had him calmed down did 2 geese come flying in for some dinner and landed about two feet from where we were perched for feeding! Again, not a good time for my little man. Once we let him do some of the feeding, it was all smiles (thats because he was feeding himself the bread!!) He did start laughing and pointing and saying duck after about 15 minutes, so not all was a bad day!! My mom had about 10 birds in before we left....maybe next time there will be more feeding of the ducks and less feeding my son!!!!

Breaking bad habits....

So, I have been off in la la land for a week in a half or so, lots going on! Mike and I have been dealing with Grant turing into the D-E-V-I-L!!! He likes to bite (which apparently is a sign of affection, I would prefer that he return to hugs and kisses) and a couple of people have told me that in order to break this, you bite back. So I tried this wonderful technique, only to have our little "angel" laugh at me!!! Not working. On to habit #2 that we would like to break....hitting. Its become somewhat of a game and its hard to spank or swat him since he can't hit. So we put him in massive bear hugs, hold his hands and tell him soft touch while we move his hands SOFTLY over our cheeks, the back of our hands, whatever....doesn't work. He's a mini Mike in the works. The last of the chaos came yesterday when my daycare provider told me that Grant had shoved his green beans up Maddy's (little girl at daycare) nose....lovely I know. Can't wait for the calls from school!!!! Sorry, no FUN pictures of these times......

Boston Red Sox

I think all of you know that I love the Yankees. Well, so I thought! Mike's aunt and uncle picked up the cutest warm up for Grant and sent it to us last year, when it was too big for Grant. It now fits, unfortunately, its the Red Sox. The Red Sox.....seriously? If it weren't from family that we liked, Grant would never have worn it! Its super cute, and it fits perfect now that he has grown into it! So, thank you Pat and Dick for sending some East Coast love, even if it is navy and red.....look for pinstripes next time!!!! Love you guys!

M.I.A.

Its been a week since I've last posted anything on here......apologies! Grant has been VERY sick with a high fever and a bunch of yuck for about a week, so not a lot of time to play! We have been to the doctor for an ear infection, high fever, random rash and lots of craziness. Hopefully with the spring weather approaching, we can air out the house and rid ourselves of the yuckies!! Not a lot going on here, Mike is starting a new gun league (can you imagine they have such a thing), Grant is pointing and trying to say lots of new words, and I am busy working and softball has started up for the spring/summer season, so I am on the run! Every year I say its my last, but I keep telling Mike, its like my "hunting". I love coaching, I love the girls and its extra time I get to hang out with my brother, lots of inside jokes here and there. Plus I can exhaust myself of all the competitive Moss juices! Hopefully lots of pictures to take in the upcoming weekend, they are calling for high 60's!! Can't wait! Love and miss everyone!

Swingin

Yesterday it was beautiful here. It must have been close to 70 degrees (although it was snowing today)!!! I had a few minutes to take Grant to the park before dark. There were a TON of kids there, but little man is only big enough to swing right now, so we saddled up and had a good time. He loves the feeling of the wind in his face and the kid LOVES to be scared. It makes him laugh, so the combination of swinging with the wind in his face and not really knowing if you have control while swinging was a great time to him. Made me laugh a little too! I can't wait for the weather to be nice all the time so we can get outdoors more often with him. He is so much like his daddy, he loves the outdoors. Comes from the Hollister side, they all love the outdoors!

BABIES

As I think about all the babies that have been born in the last year (Avery, Grant, Hayden, Stella, Jackson, Brayden, Jack, Haley) and the new ones that are arriving, I started thinking of our baby list. Our friends Courtney and Vic had their baby girl on Saturday Feb. 24th. They named her Brooklyn Ray, she was two weeks early. Bill and Allison are expecting their first child in 12 days. Chad and Heather are due in 9 weeks. Chris and Stacey are due in May. Darla and Jason are due in August. Jen and Adi are due in September. I think that I may give up Kansas City water for a year or so.......

Chad's Surprise 30th

Mike's best friend Chad turned 30 this week. His wife threw together a great party for him, and, as you can tell by the pictures, we had a great time! Lots of old college friends and some family that is like our own. Grant is staying with Nana and Papa, so I am sure they had a good time tonight!!! It's nice to be able to have grown up time every once in a while, not sure how grown up we act, but its still nice! Weird that we are all getting to our thirties....but like they say: 30 is the new 20!!! Whatever that means!!!

Wagon Rides

The weather was nice enough today (58 degrees) to take the wagon for a stroll. Grant absolutely went nuts. He was laughing and screaming the whole time we were outside with it. We took Rocky (his dog) along for the ride, I think he enjoyed it too! Can't wait for spring!!

New Haircut

Mike and I took Grant to get his THIRD haircut, so we opted for a more grown up cut....it is super cute. My cousin, Denise, cuts it for us and he loves her, so he behaves (for the most part)!! She took the clippers to the back and sides and cut a good two inches off the top, so he now, officially looks like a little man.....

We brought him home and tried to get a few pictures of it, but he was not in the mood to pose, so you get what you get!

Tomorrow is supposed to be 58 degrees, so look for wagon shots soon!

Weekend

Mike is working more hours than there are in the day right now, the frigid weather makes for insane issues on the railroad. He has only been able to be home for about 10 hours before he is called back out to work, ahhh, the life of a railroad wife!!! The weather here is working towards warmth, its been about 35 STRAIGHT days of ridiculously cold weather, but 50's and 60's are in sight. Most of the ice and snow is starting to melt away, so we are putting together the wagon that Grant got from his Nana and Grandpa this week in hopes of taking it for a stroll!! He has perfected the 4 wheeler that Mike and I got him for his birthday, not too great at steering but can make it go!! I assume it will be more fun out in our backyard than in our living room, but you make due!!
Nothing else too exciting at this point, hopefully will have more pictures this week OUTSIDE!!!!
Who knows??!!!

Talking & Walking

Grant is TRYING ever so hard to learn new words, right now he says mama, dada, nana (grandma moss), eat (favorite thing to do), cheese (favorite thing to eat), dog (which really sounds more like dugga) and we are working on night night!
Walking lasted for about a week and we are now on to running, not very gracefully however. He sports nice bumps and bruises on a regular basis. I must say it's kind of sad to see how fast he is growing up, he's like a miniature man now. He has my personality and Mike's appetitite. The kid can eat. I think that when Stella (his cousin) gets in from California, I would like to arrange an eating contest between the two!
Anyways, thats all the new information for now.

Getting Started....

I think that I will enter the year 2007 and start blogging about our crazy life as parents so those far away from us can keep up.....catch us if you can! Grant is now walking, its crazy trying to keep up with him. Mike is working like a dog, so it leaves lots of mommy and Grant time!!! I will be updating with pictures and what not soon.....
Its Valentine's Day and my cousins have inspired me to try to learn how to love my computer more than I do now! We'll see, you'll have to stay tuned!
