Apologies, we have been M.I.A. again! It sometimes seems like I can't grab even 5 minutes to sit down and update this thing!! Any-who, in the past few weeks, we have started swim lessons, been to the petting/feeding zoo, attended Grant's first Royals game and a few others to not be named! Swim lessons have been an adventure to say the least-1st week, loved it, 2nd week, not so much, 3rd week, back to loving it!! They are jumping off the sides of the pool, learning to float, blowing bubbles and Grant even likes going under the water (as long as MOM is there when he pops back up!!) The petting zoo experience was a blast. Grant is very cautious around new things, which I guess is a good thing. The large adult billy goats were not nearly as friendly to approach as the itsy bitsy baby goats. Grant fed them from as far away as possible, but laughed the whole time! It's a really great place and best of all-it's FREE! My parents, Mike and I took Grant to his first Royals game last night. This was quite the experience. We got there very early to try and catch some b.p., but ended up missing the Royals. Grant danced on the dug out and poointed out that there was someone pitching the ball and that someone was hitting the ball. This may have been the best part of the night for Grant. We did get David DeJesus to sign a ball for Grant, which he commented that Grant was super cute (after Grant called David a fish??) We then took Grant up to teh miniature putt putt course that they have at Kauffman. As you know, Grant loves golf....not at the K!!! He did not want to give the ball back, he felt he needed 30 balls, etc. We left crying only to have a Royals attendant go and grab Grant a stuffed koala with a Royals hat, it was very sweet. Then it was back to our seats for ball park food. Grant dined on a pretzel with cheese and a hot dog. He last about 3 innings on Nana's lap cheering for the Royals who were up 3-2 when we left. To end the night cap, Grant was approached by Slugger, the Royals mascot, outside of Kauffman. He was going to stop to give Grant a high five and take a picture, but my son was too busy having a fit trying to run from the oversized lion that the picture never happened. It was over stimulation to say the least!!! But, it was memorable!!!! Looking forward to the pumpkin patch in the coming weeks, so I will be more loyal to blogging, I promise!
Love you all!!
